LEDUC (D-3) OVERVIEW
LEDUC (D-3) DEVELOPMENT OVERVIEW
Despite over 60 years of production and development, the Leduc Formation in the Leduc-Woodbend Field still has significant remaining potential for additional oil reserves recovery. The original oil column in this areally extensive, Devonian age atoll reef complex was up to 160m thick. The reservoir consists of heavily dolomitized limestone; the vertical facies barriers typically found in stacked, reef sequences are largely nonexistent as a result. The top of the Leduc zone is found at ~1,650 m.
The Company has an extensive capital program to continue to develop the Leduc Formation that includes drilling on 3-D seismic identified highs, reactivation of suspended wells and re-entry of abandoned wells; both of these operations include the installation of electric submersible pumps. The following pages detail the Company’s capital program, and expected reserves and production outcomes.
